Washington Produce International currently farms over 1000 acres just in chipping potato acreage. We have the capacity to produce, process and store over 20,000 metric tons per harvest and seeking to expand production volumes over the next few years.
Washington Produce International has a processing facility to wash, size, sort and package potatoes. Potatoes are sized, washed and packaged prior to shipments. During the processing stage, we meticulously remove any defective or discolored potatoes in order to provide the best quality end products. Washington Produce International has a special storage facility designed to store chipping potatoes at the right temperature, right humidity and correct air quality to ensure potatoes remain at optimum quality. Potatoes are not exposed to sunlight during storage to prevent greening.
We can load potatoes into 40' reefer containers. Containers will be loaded to about 23.5 metric tons net weight. Containers need to be temperature controlled at 11 degrees Celsius.
We can load potatoes into tote bags with about 1.2 metric tons of potatoes. 20 tote bags can be loaded onto a 40' reefer container with net weight of about 23.5 metric tons. Reefer container is set at 11 degrees Celsius temperature.
We can also package potatoes in 22.68 kg size bags. 50 bags per pallet. 20 pallets per 40' reefer container. Net weight is about 23.0 metric tons. Gross weight is about 23.5 metric tons.
